Had my class 1 for a few years
… Wanting of tools looking desperately for driving job with half decent pay and job not sure what to take tramping local distance work? Way things are going at home it will be tramping! Any employers on here??

Where in Scotland are you looking? If you’re anywhere around the central belt you’re unlikely to find much that’ll pay you a decent rate as an employed driver. Gist and DHL in Bellshill are one of the few places you’ll actually see more than £10 an hour. Agencies have everything sewn up.
If you’re willing to tramp look around Aberdeenshire. Rates are good up there MGS regularly recruiting paying £12 odd quid an hour and seen Bamforth offering £13 odd recently as well. Alternatively head south to Jenkinsons at Lockerbie they pay well enough.
