Driver/Job Ratio

So we’ve all seen the articles about looming driver shortages. Does anybody know the ratio of jobs to drivers right now? Not in 5 years time :stuck_out_tongue:

There is not and never likely to be a driver shortage within the next 10 years at least

We might get a driver shortage when the unemployment level gets to zero

Depends where abouts you are in the country. There can be regional driver shortages.

I would agree that right now there are more drivers than jobs. There doesn’t seem to be a let up in those wanting to become drivers and whatever happens now, most drivers won’t get a full time job for several years anyway because a lot of companies want them to have had their licences for 2 years.

Even when this CPC thing kicks off, I doubt we’d have a shortage as a lot of drivers would have grudgingly done it rather than not, whatever they insinuate on this forum…

I really only mentioned the driver shortage as a preamble.

What I’m really after is how many other applicants are there for an average driver job.
