No I hadn’t used any of my 10hr allowance, but was so close to base, didn’t wanna park up for 45mins !
Did you have a reduced daily rest available? - 3 max allowed between weekly rests
Did you exceed the 4.5 max limit?

I only started on Monday, and I don’t know how many hours in the second period I actual drove, because of the stopping/starting in traffic and the fact I wouldn’t know where to start analysing an analogue tachograph!

At what time did you take either a 45 or 30 min break? - the 30 being a break after taking a 15
I didn’t I took a 30 min a couple if hours before the 15min
By 12.15 I had taken my 45 min break

Each of the short lines on the outside of the chart is 5 minutes, the thick line near the inside is driving time as marked on the image, use a ruler or straight edge from the centre of the chart to read how much driving time you’ve done.
Be careful not to damage or erase any part of the graph as you check it.
Thanks Rog, will have a look at them and see if I can work it out, I’m on a digi from Monday so life should be a whole lot easier!

30 + 15 is not a break for driving time - it must be 15 + 30 by law which is why I asked
If you did not take a 45 or a 15 + 30 during that shift then you have no breaks for your driving time
Oh right I though you could take them in any combination as long as it was a minimum of 15 minutes!

You are a newbie so lesson learned
I would write on the back of that chart that you are a new driver and have made a newbie error in regards to the split driving break because any analysis company will pick that up
Well bloody hell!! Kinda makes the start of this question irrelevant now! I was illegal all day! Haha, the guy I work for doesn’t analyse them, but I have to keep them with me for 26? Days don’t i
I suggest you take a dcpc course on drivers hours and tachographs asap before you get into any more hot water
If you are good at reading then viewtopic.php?f=7&t=71511
there is also a digi simulator on that forum

29 calendar days
VOSA/DVSA can prosecute going back 6 months but as a one off they will not be interested in doing so and if an explanation is there then they will not bother giving you a rap on the knuckles
The rest of this week I know I was legal, and as I only work mon-fri I know I’m always getting the weekly rest periods, so that coupled with the ease of the digicard, I should be ok now!
Keep asking questions on here if not sure - preferably before you get into hot water
PS - your 30 + 15 did cover the RTD rules so that’s another bonus
Oh I will don’t worry, thanks for ur advice
