Before anyone sighs deeply this isn’t a question about how to record drivers hours[emoji6]
Got bored today so started to make up a spreadsheet to put my hours in so can look at past data.
I liked drivinghours website but whilst excellent showing last 28 days it has no facility to look at weeks outside this window.
Found out to get accurate averages and WTD you need decent amount of records in etc I was trying to put in past data and you can put them in but not see them ? So hence preferring a local spreadsheet that will do similar but can look at older records.
Anyway… Got that lot sorted and can enter all data etc no problem and works well.
I’m now looking at doing the summary page like the website does and wondered if anyone has an existing spreadsheet can look at if you have one that does this?
Might save a bit of time if I don’t have to start from scratch working out the formulae.
I’ve been meaning to get round to doing this for ages … a couple of years. I did one for daily rest and one for weekly rest a few years ago but gave up on the rest of it.
Inputting the data is easy enough, but then getting a summary page will need quite some working out as the rules are complex.
If you get it sorted let me know - I’ll buy it off ya!!
I did this a few years back lasted about 3 months before I could be assed bashing keys at the end of the week it’s defiantly a good idea lets hope you can outlast me.
ROG:
Why do you feel the need to work out average WTD hours when the onus is on the employer(s) to do that ?
What if your not employed?
I have/had a spreadsheet that I recorded hours/mileage etc.
But I got bored of the tedious repartition of sitting down an punching in the numbers

That’s a good idea, but if it’s made for a smart phone, drivers could enter the daily driving and it could give you the totals as you go !!
I thought about this as I have software somewhere to build apps but only for the iPhone .
Then thought it’s a spreadsheet, nearly all smartphones an access and edit so why bother.
Once I’m happy with spreadsheet version no doubt I’ll get bored again and port it into an app [emoji6]
