I know what the ( numerous ) ads say but that ain’t the same thing as customer delivery driver/home help care operative.
So high turn over of staff because of misrepresented job role and title.Then throw Covid infection risk and here we are ■■■■■■ of ‘delivery drivers’ moaning about a dodgy union swallowing it.

Cheeky sods expected me to check the oil and water! I told them that I wasnt a mechanic. Another place said it was up to me to fill up with diesel! Soon told them. And as for doing office work by filling in time sheets etc, Im not a pen pusher. Union weren`t even interested.

Yes, got licence, can drive American lurry but cannot adapt as not in job description, left previous job, sweeping up, but brush wore out and it wasn’t in my job description to change head.

Carryfast’s comments show why he never got the job he wanted to do because his attitude is poor and he has no ability to adapt in a job.
For example when I worked as a home delivery driver for Tesco, my job role required me to deliver the shopping to the customers front door and no more. However as I explained above in my previous post I was more than happy to bring said shopping into house/kitchen or wherever if asked and in extreme cases help put stuff away if the customer was elderly/disabled or had limited mobility.
I didnt view this as some sort of heinous crime that should never be asked of me as a delivery driver and being the helpful chap I am I was happy to oblige even though officially that wasnt expected of me in that job role.
That is what is known as being able to adapt to a situation Carryfast rather than treating every single scenario as black and white.
