People; we endure many things in our business life. When you arrive at a destination or stopping point, the facilities afforded to you leave a lot to be desired. Maybe they exceed your expectations. Here is your opportunity to praise or shame a place, with or without a name (especially if you have to frequent that particular location again).
We are are considered fairly way down the pecking order when it comes to our needs to put it mildly!
I have taken a few photos (to be posted in a bit) on locations that have great facilities but just don’t get cleaned on any regular basis.
This just might get one or two of you thinking of where you frequent and you will contribute here.

Most of my breaks are now spent in rest room at tesco expresses,no issues,tea/toast free,other stuff in fridge if I fancy it,all free,nice friendly folk,I’m quite happy with my lot

Mate, with respect, Rugby is the pits The shower/toilet block is in need of a refurb, has been for a while. I’m hoping new owners might spend some cash
Good facilities are Heywood, Jct 36, Silvey/Hideaway(?) and Avonmouth - IMO.

I’ve been there a couple of times, once on a sunday and a couple of weeks ago during the week, found it to be quite good personally, abit dated yes but it was clean and thats all im interested in.
Everything is bad in my eyes, avoid services/truck facilities at all costs, rather stop @ a supermarket or retail park if I need anything, if you want good facilities/service go to America…
I think its disgusting at some of the places we have to stay in, especially RDCs, and more so Sainsburys, one of our drivers photographed most of them. Its disgusting that we are not allowed to sit in our cab, whilst being tipped, and at some, you have to lock the door first, then we have to sit, in sub standard rest rooms` often built in to the cold store, so not only is it freezing cold, but they lack facilities, ok they do provide a coffee/tea machine, and snack machine, and although they say you can use their canteen, its often far away, and also has a card entry system, only carried by their own staff, and of course there is never anyone available to let you in or out, the problem with that though, is when you are waiting for a bay, and the driver who is on it, has decided to go for lunch, its very annoying, but thats down to the system in place.
Of course the other annoying thing is, after being on site for 2 hours, you boss phones to ask why your parked at Joes cafe, when you have just had a 2 hour break at Sainsburys,
Ah Bless em, they soon get the message, when you tell them theres no facilities to have a hot meal. Of course, there are drivers who like to eat a cold sandwich everyday, which is fine, but i dont.

I’ve actually given up now, if I can’t shower where I’m tipping - I don’t bother. Don’t have a chat with me after three days out
This location,collection/delivery point, has driver facilities as shown.
Whilst it was warm and comprehensive (shower as well) it was grimy. Not been cleaned for a long time. Not drivers making it dirty, just dust etc build up. I don’t think it is our job to clean the floor, windowsills, toilet tops etc. That’s the job of a cleaner who is not employed here. In fact there are no cleaning items to do it with anyway.
Note the paper towels, mainly on the side of the sink…why? There’s no bin! So it’s hardly surprising they are all over the place.

As far as we,ve been told, that is the plan, time scale i dont know. But there are plans afoot to refurb a lot of it.

As far as we,ve been told, that is the plan, time scale i dont know. But there are plans afoot to refurb a lot of it.
That’s good news. Rugby,as an overnight,is good for me.
I’ve just remembered that story about the bloke that was caught in the roof space at the Truckstop,spying on the blokes in the bogs
