Reminds me of a drivers mate I had that claimed he was a professional cockle picker… earning thousands of pounds a day… until one day the government came and sucked all the cockles up and went and hid them cos of the poles taking over! Said he was only working as he was bored… said he had just bought the MRS a brand new Mini and the kids cars etc etc. Baffled me why he left work in an x reg fiesta, oh he also claimed to be extremly ‘hard’ I really hoped at the time he didnt mean in his pants… I dont know why they just blatantly make ■■■■ up!
Had another drivers mate that was claiming his dad had a v12 M3 that did 188mph, and in his own words it got there VERY quickly… He also owned a 70’ TV had a 5 bed house all the usual ■■■■■■ he also left work in an 06 plate fiesta! Oh his Dad also had a 272,000 payout from jaguar land rover when he retired… thank god for radio 1 that day!

I had to have a driver with me …double manned, to get machines from Cuxhaven into Austria, he joined me in Cuxhaven…was about ten yrs younger than me …never stopped talking…and apparantly had only passed his test 12 months previous…but everyone needs a start dont they ? so i put up with his bullshine for hours then we had to pull up for a kip , he said err are you sleeping on the top bunk ? no my gears on there…i sleep on the bottom one, do you mind if i have bottom bunk i get claustrophobic…i said i think your in the wrong job matey then, but owt for a quiet life i let him have the bottom bunk, it was redhot all windows open sunroof…im just dropping off when this blokes jumping round the cab sceaming help me ! help me ! i did i cracked him one, he was startled and said sorry…i suffer from frightmares ! …so we settled down again f***k me half an hour later he was jumping round the cab again eyes bulging , shouted wake up mate no reponse gave him a crack …he says im very sorry…so am i mate your under the trailer with your sleeping bag…he thought i was joking…no im not i need some kip…then on our way back up from Austria he nearly killed us both by falling asleep at the wheel drifted into another truck which took all the mirrors off the nearside…delayed now to go into scania dealers for new set of mirrors and arm, this bloke was a frikin nightmare i rang the gaffer up and said your man is getting dropped in Cuxhaven …dont send me anymore i rather be on my own, never again double manning.

as regards to the little twonk i have to work with I’ve found a better solution do my class one & get the ■■■■ out of there companies started taking liberties now also had offers of class 1 work on long distance once i pass anyway whether that be with the same company ( hope it is thanks to the office despatcher) or with another company it remains to be seen
