Although the show was a great hit, it was marred by tragedy.

Our thoughts are with this driver who died at the Truckfest. R.I.P.

Although I was at Truckfest for the weekend I did not hear of this until after arriving home.
Terribly sad and my thoughts are with this drivers family at this sad time.

Deepest of sympathy goes to the family of this driver from me and my family.

Very sad time , our thoughts are with this fellow drivers family

Absolutely.

I went to TF with the wife and kids, and they are shocked that this happened not long before we arrived.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the guys family, and his work colleagues.

On a side note, does anyone know who he worked for? There is a picture of his unit, but it has no company logo on it.

Ken.

I have seen the unit running in and out Felixstowe quite often on tilt work. I always presumed he was an owner driver. Always thought his motor looked well smart aswell.

Condolences to the family, very sad news indeed !

R.I.P Deepest sympathies to his family

R.I.P mate, condolences to the family

He was known to everyone as Scooby, he was an owner driver, he hadnt had the truck long as it was for sale at Roy Humphreys a few months ago. he used to work for Shipps from Mildenhall on PTI Portbrige pulling tilts out of Felixstowe, he had the only 4x2 143 that Shipps owned at the time, yellow and blue same colours as Portbridge trailers, with 2 straight thru stacks on theunit. This was in the 90’s. To say he used to get about was an understatement!! A really nice bloke, R.I.P Scooby…
