Well albion and rythym I am not as qualified as I think mmmmmmm you two pair of clowns don’t. List any qualifications you two have wonder why that is. I admit that the absence of full stops etc maybe a point as other more educated drivers have said it is a truckers forum not English literature missing the point of my post I think in stead of picking on the grammar aspect maybe should think about the point I was trying to make, is this why government and all others can get away With what they do is that we don’t stick together as supposed professional drivers

Steve, I mean no offence, but the main reason I didn’t comment on any other aspects of your post is that I couldn’t make head nor tail of it, because you just splurged a load of words onto the page. I read the first few and frankly couldn’t be bothered deciphering the rest. I don’t pick on people’s written English for fun, honestly, but if you’re trying to get a message across, you really need to write in sentences and paragraphs.
Drivers have always been a difficult lot to unite. I suppose by its nature it’s a solitary job, and there’s always some other bugger willing to do what we do for a few quid less. In any time of high unemploymemnt, governments will get away with more; in fact, it suits any government to have a reasonably large pool of people who need a job as it makes those of us who do have jobs willing to do more to keep them and work harder for less.

You do realise Gramertheif :unamused: that this forum has managed pretty well for several years without your input. Sit back, and think what forum your posting on. Why come on to a lorry drivers forum picking folk up for spelling?

I don’t pick most folk up for spelling; usually I let poor spelling go as it could be the result of dyslexia, or typos, or whatever. But I stand by my argument that it’s impolite to expect the reader to put in all the effort when the writer can’t be bothered to punctuate properly.

If you had any bearing about you, then you could fill in the blanks like I do  and not put any future potential posters off joining a forum in fear if getting ridiculed

I don’t think I’m important enough to put anyone off posting. But you illustrate my point perfectly: why should I put the effort into filling in the blanks if the writer can’t be bothered to?

My own situation is one of working for a firm that has prevaricated for many months, responding to every enquiry about if they intend to pay me through the course with,‘‘not sure,we’ll see’’

It’s looking increasingly unlikely that they will and in my view is utterly morally dubious to have to spend 5 future saturdays of precious recovery time, unpaid (how the ■■■■ can this be even legal??) for a monstrous revenue generation/egg sucking excercise.I mean i’ve been earning utterly crap pay for the last year but still delivered a good account of myself,no tacho issues,accidents/incidents but hey who gives a flying f@@k.

To distil it to it’s essence the game we are in is the last bastion of inhumanity and callousness and we all of us become brutalised in trying to earn our living it’s time we had a union not the present limp d@@k excuse of Unite et al.PS anyone know of any Euro courier work going?
