Ritchies are good company, bit more expensive than others but you get what you pay for. When I did my test the reverse was done at Bishopbriggs TC. I think as of this month from what I remember Ritchies telling me the DSA will be doing the reverse exercise at large LGV company sites like Ritchies.
Ritchies were getting their reverse plot up to scratch at the time I took my test Mar 2011. My trainer was Paul Blackburn and like most of the instructors has been with Ritchies forever, 23 years in his case. The instructors are all great and I say that a someone who would know.
P.S enjoy the rail bridge that goes over Crosshill Rd (B819) onto Robroyston RD (B812), great fun in an artic and tighter than a badgers behind.
Look it up on google maps follow Crosshill RD to where it meets Robroyston Rd just outside Lenzie. I can tell you it’s still very fresh in my mind.

Best of luck mate.
The Guys and Girls at Ritchies are a great bunch.
If you see Pat or Tommy, will you tell them that Craig, ‘the boy from Rothesay’ says hello??
Cheers
I’ve heard good things about Ritchies seems like they’ve got good reputation. Glad to know the instructors are good.
Had a look at your Crosshill bridge, that looks fun, i like a challenge! I live in ardnamurchan and we’ve got a little bridge over a stream on the A861 at resipole camp site (google map it), first time I crossed it I was driving a 14 meter tri-axle coach(my behind was tighter than a badgers), took two shunts, second time I learned to take the front overhang all the way over the hard standing!
Hope you don’t mind me asking Rorry, I’ve just been looking at the test sylibus, what can I expect on the “show me tell me” section?

Little bridge over resipole burn looks idyllic but not any kind of fun in a large vehicle.
You can get the tell/show questions online or I think somewhere on this site. Learn them verbatim the DSA must keep to the scripted questions. 5 for cat c and 2 for c+e they are asked at the start of the test before you do anything, if he asks an outside of vehicle question it will be asked on the way to the vehicle.
It’s really no big deal a very easy part of the test.

Hi k21pilot,
Ritchies are well known and respected in the ADR training world, and £550 is a good price.
It looks like you’re sorted.
