Driver CPC Training Scotland

Hi everyone, I am based up at Kinloss, Scotland about 30 Miles east of Inverness. I don’t need my driver CPC at the moment as I’m in the RAF,(we have a military exemption) but will need it when I leave in about 2 years. Does anyone know of a local training centre I can attend? All the Bigtrain stuff sounds great but with the first in Warwick and the next in the North West it’s just to far away to make it an economical option.
Yours in hope,
Trucknut.

You might be able to get the RAF to get you this for FREE as part of your resettlement package :bulb:

some reading for you to do over the next 2 years…

@trucknut, Do not waste your your resettlement course on a
Drivers CPC , try instead to do the NATIONAL–International
CPC exams WHICH WHEN YOU
pass allow you to either act as a transport manager or start your own firm
the drivers cpc is something that you can get by doing your
adr certificate, courses on Tachographs and hours, first aid
lashing and load safety,Take a look at the ownerdrivers
site on here there is lots of information,by the way enquire in the unit about getting any courses you take in the next two(2) years to be counted towards
the drivers CPC, this must be possible i thought as the services do have to meet some of the rules as regards road transport in todays age,

Nope - they are totally exempt for everything - they can even use a driver in a LGV who has never trained to drive it if the cirumstances require it.

Its still a bit of a distance but Perth college run courses from time to time There was a course last Saturday and 1 is scheduled for Feb.There are lots of rules and requirements for trainers they need JAUPT approval whatever that is.

@ROG you are wrong or they changed the rules since i left
no one gets to take a vehicle out unless they have been trained
on that vehicle, unless it is war time, sorry ROG you are wrong,
they are more H&S mad than one thinks, in peacetime,
and ROG I was a JDMI as one of the trades whilst in the ARMY:

Perhaps not so wrong - if the circumstance was war or a state of emergency

Phone your local college or try MacPhersons at Aberlour or Murray Fiddes at Inverness also check if you can use your ILA PERSONAL ACCOUNT

ILA is worth £200 a year for training
