hey folks i passed my class 2 the other week just waiting for me licence to come back then IM booking my module 2 CPC I’ve been told to read the 300 page driving goods vehicles and to keep using the theory test cd Rom, personally i much prefer using the cd Rom i find the information sinks in a lot more but IM worried its not going to cover everything needed in module 2 test i got 99 out of 100 on the theory test so i think my knowledge is fairly good starting to get a bit stressed about it all now so any advise would be much appreciated and if anyones done it can you tell me what its like please thank you folks
the stuff you need to know is the same as the theory test, they just dress it up in scenarios. Keep revising the theory test stuff and the book and you’ll be ok
Ive just passed mine on saturday. A lot of it is common sense/theory based BUT I had a good few questions asking things like, “Dirk delivers fresh meat to a few different customers, what type of company does Dirk work for? Freight forwarding, groupage, specialised, containerised?” etc etc over a couple of different case studies. One was a parcel company, one was a refrigerated company etc.
I’ll be honest I didn’t have a clue about groupage or freight forwarding (containerised is obvious), will be worth looking into the different types of companies as I don’t think the DSA book covers it. I also had questions asking how long alcohol stays in the system.
A lot of it was easy but some completely threw me (mainly what type of company) I got 43 out of 50 questions over about 7 case studies. The pass mark is 40.
Good luck with it, take your time and you’ll be fine, I think you get 70 minutes but it only took me about half hour and I got stuck on some of the questions 
Thanks for the advice guys much appreciated feel better about it all now and tarrman that’s great mate will definitely revise those subjects are there any more different operator types I should know about I know specialized, freight forwarders, subcontracters, own account, and containerized are there any more that’s all I could find thanks again guys
Yay passed the module 2 I got 44 out of 50 was harder than I thought just wanted to say a big big thank you to everyone that took the time to share there knowledge and advice just my module 4 left and I’m done until next year then it’s my class 1 bring it on
