Straight away but employers might wish to see the DQC before they let you
What he said
I had this problem today one agency told me the module 4 certificate was not enuf and they could not offer me work until I get me card.
But one other agency said its fine not a problem as long as I keep it in my possession.
Dsa told me as long as the certificate is in my possession until my card arrives it’s fine…
It states on the back of certificate that, certificate is not proof of qualification unless accompanied by appropriate liscence
So certificate and liscence in your posession and your gtg
It is a little confusing for us noobs
Below are extracts taken from the The Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence)
Regulations 2007
Requirement to carry and produce evidence of CPC or of training exemption in vehicle
11.–(1) Subject to paragraph (4), a person who is required to hold a CPC by virtue of
regulation 9(1) and who does not carry with him in the vehicle which he is driving evidence of
that CPC as specified in paragraph (2) is guilty of an offence.
(4) Paragraph (1) does not apply to a person who has made an application to the competent
authority for a driver qualification card under regulation 8(1) and not yet received that card.
It is quite clear that the requirement to carry evidence of CPC entitlement as described in Para (1) does not apply if the candidate has not yet received the card. The application for the card is made by the examiner sending the documentation off after passing the Mod 4 subject to the candidate having passed the Cat C test.
Hope this helps
