Talking of CPC I just finished the course last week. A firm I usually work for managed to get a few places at a local centre and have done the full 35 hours for £50, and that will see me until 2018. for both my PCV and LGV I
They lumped in a Level 2 NVQ as well, for which we had to do a little test.
The course was interesting, no more. I can’t help feeling that its just another tax and empire building creating jobs, all done under the umberella of ‘Safety’
That said, getting together and having a chance to talk and discuss coaching/transport matters of all sorts was enlightening
The card arrived within 10 days!

Would like to know where abouts the course was and if they are running anymore at that price?

The name of the company is ‘Omnibus Training Ltd’, omnibusltd.com 0800 1583731, I got these details off a lapel badge they give out.
It operates out of Lombard House Business Park in Croydon.

I’m not sure, but the course was subsidised under the ‘Train to Gain’ scheme, which accounts for the low cost, and I understand that this is funded almost wholly by the Government, bless their hearts. That said, get in quick, as once the money has gone it’s gone and as D day approaches and panic sets in, the trainers will be able to demand what they like as it will be a suppliers market.
