Dresden germany

just asking anyone out there is they have driven to dresden, how long did it take from england route you took etc

thanks saddler

Been there a few times. Last time I shipped Dover/Calais on a Sunday morning and tipped in Dresden Monday afternoon, meant an early start both days and Sunday was spent getting to the German border. Couldn’t go into Germany Sunday due to driving bans so parked and had daily rest before leaving very early on the Monday morning. I went via Venlo border to Hannover and on toward Magdeburg (A2), where I picked up the A14. Continue on the A14 past Leipzig and then onto the A4 for the last short stretch to Dresden.

This is me tipping at the university in Dresden.

have a look at this link it is 1039km roughly

from the Calais-to Dresden via jabbake (B)’

Gent(B) Antwerpen(B) Venlo(NL), Hanover(D)

liepzig,Dresden,

HERE

I have used TOWN CENTERS as reference points
but youhave no need to leave the motorways at
these points,

have a look through the posts on this site and in the usefull

links site as you can get more information from these

post which will help you out,if you have any more

questions just post then as some one will help

out. AS FOR HOW LONG it wil take i think that

you will need between 13.5–to15hrs DRIVEING TIME

depending on the weather,traffic, etc,
THE route over hanover, is better than that of

going via kassel,eisenach,jena,dresden

as this is bad when the snow comes and is hiily

than the Hanover ROUTE;

Yep, that’s the way I went as well Pete. As you say better than the Kassel option, less overtaking restrictions as well.
