Downhill

After running up from loading nr Beauvais and then Etaples on Thursday evening I was going to run out of time nr Calais and rather than park at Transmarck,where there is a big threat of illegals-even though I wasn’t going to the UK,I decided to park at the Eurotunnel terminal.
Now I used to use the facilities here quite a bit when we were using the train,but by god they’ve gone downhill since then!
I first went in to have a shave and shower.Firstly,all the electric points were dead,so nowhere to plug my beard trimmer in to.So while I was waiting for a shower (2 out of the 3 showers were out of order) I thought I’d have a shave.
Only the water was stone cold!
Then the bloke who had been in the shower came out and said ‘Don’t bother mate,the water in the shower is cold too’!
So,no shave and no shower.
So I went and sat in the restaurant for a meal.I wish I hadn’t bothered!!That was crap too!

And we moan about the standard of facilities in the UK

you could try the lighthouse keith, there is an immigrant problem but like you say you aren’t going to the uk.
mostly they target uk registered trucks.
the routiers across the road from the parking area is spot on, he’s open until about 1am, foods good and beers is readily available, the only real downer is that he doesn’t open early enough in the morning, he claims to open at 6.30 but it’s more like 8.30.
transmark isn’t that bad for immigrants, i think it’s a little too far away for them.
