Dover port blockade

Protest over illegal immigration concerns was held in support of truckers who use ferries between Dover and Calais

Warms the cockles to see honest British Truckers as the lead photo in this story… :smiling_imp:

Sorry mate, but which of those people there, with no lorries in sight, were drivers? And how do you know?

i think it was a sarcastic comment.

seeing this protest and you tube clips of protests in Calais. It does seem to be giving fuel to those on the far right of the political spectrum. Bloody hell even my views are moving to the right and I’m one of those old fashioned left wingers :open_mouth:

thousands of illegals come into england every year on or in or under british lgvs / lorries
why shouldnt bnp or even edl take part and support the blockade
they have britains interests at heart and genuinly want to keep them lot out

■■■■, I think you’re right, I feel a bit of a pillock for not spotting that. It’s usually my humour which passes others by.

I watched that program earlier in the week and I was amazed at the number of trailers those guys were able to open the doors on surely it would be in your own interest to put a padlock on the door. They are not expensive must be a better bet than having unwanted visitors. I worked for a firm years ago and we hauled a lot of carpets I bought a padlock and used it all the time and it gives you peace of mind you just have to mind and retrieve it when swapping trailers. Eddie.

I don’t think you read my post Eddie. The padlock I bought didn’t last one trip through Calais. :imp:

I had to stop for a ■■■■■ just out side Calais in clear view of me the had broke the padlock and where in the back in less than a minute

CS gas or pepper spray is legal to buy in Europe but illegal in the UK, a driver has every right to protect him/herself.In the UK it is classed as a weapon and jail time.
The truckstops and Msa,s sell it abroad.
I would hide my canister down my under crackers, when coming off the ferry in to the UK.
A Greek driver was let off all charges when two English known criminals tried to rob his load, he stabbed one of them and he died. This was in the UK.

No jail time Toby just a caution down a Folkestone police station . Yes I’ve got the caution

Well if the purpose of the blockade was to draw attention to the £2000 fine imposed on truckdrivers it failed as in order for it to succeed it should be the main story not the NF, EDL etc stomping around showing what idiots they are.

they have britains interests at heart and genuinly want to keep them lot out

Trust me they don’t.
This whole thing appears to be nothing more than a ■■■■ day out using a few truckers to make the numbers up. Nothing has been acheived for truck drivers except to reinforce the stereotypical knuckle dragging image we already have with a bit of racist flavouring into the mix.

looks like these chaps are there to support drivers. what an absolute bunch of ■■■■■■ we tried warning people it would just be a racict march with no actual truck drivers supporting it but that fell on deaf ears

So these blokes are obviously well tooled up for the job and I appreciate it cant be easy facing up to having to put up with entering whats virtually a battle zone each time you come home. Eddie.

Friend of mine stopped in drongen servs in belguim awhile back ran out of time, seals and padlock on the back doors of a reefer trl,got up padlock still intact and seals still on so drove off.
Through the sheds in Calais and onto the boat.
Got to Warwick servs for a break when he came back outside there was one hell of a noise coming from inside the trl,on closer inspection they had cut thinly through the steel on the handles on the back doors and superglued the seal right at the point on contact.
It must of taken them a fair while for them to do this.
3 of them in there,a very professional job done by them indeed so take care out there when parking not so close to Calais.

I was broken into overnight at Drongen services, not only did they not get to the UK, but they had the decency to leave me a wallet containing £75 in Sterling as well as these after I had battered the crap out of four of them with a wheel brace and they fled in a panic.

I used the banknotes to wipe my arse on.
