***** C a l a i s U p d a t e ***** You will no doubt have heard from the news bulletins that there were further problems in Calais during the last 24 hours when someone else’s ship blocked one of the few remaining operational berths following an unfortunate and unavoidable ‘incident’. That problem has now been resolved and we are back to three berths until tomorrow morning when we expect to see one of these three berths being withdrawn for urgent safety checks. Discussions are currently underway between the port users and port operators of Calais to establish a mutually acceptable timetable for the rest of this week. At the moment we understand that there is a short delay in Calais but in Dover the situation is unusually quiet with no Operation Stack and no delays

Here in Dover this afternoon sea conditions in the Channel are moderate, with a,north-westerly wind, Force 6 and the visibility is good.

Due to continued berthing problems in the Port of Calais. Services with P&O Ferries and SeaFrance are subject to delays and space is limited with both P & O and Seafrance. Both Operators have suspended day trip traffic until further notice. Passengers are advised to contact their operator for more information.

Although there are ongoing problems and restrictions with services to Calais, the Port of Dunkerque is operating normally and Norfolkline’s Dover - Dunkerque services will continue to accept passenger day trips and all excursion traffic.

It looks that they are have problemes still with the ferrys as OP-STACK

is being carried out and on M20-- junction11–12 in the direction of

DOVER ,so folks you may need to wait awhile before you ship out…

ITS To-day the same as yesterday. all traffic weither for the TUNNEL—

---- FERRYS is being diverted on to the M20–junction11–12 and here

they have to wait for a place on the TRAIN/// FERRY ;;;; So take a book

and be prepared for a delay on the journey to the continent,
