How many hours can I work double Manning this is total work hours not driving hours
Truck needs to be stationary for 9 consecutive hours in 30, so 21 hours!

If you can put up with being stuck in a cab for 21 hours with someone else you’ve got a more paitence than me, it would drive me mad having to listen to someone else rabbiting away incessently
15 hrs but took in turns sleeping so not all that bad suppose it depends whom u sharing with

i’d rather have someone who talks rather someone who sits there and says nothing then moans about what i have on the radio

21 hour shift assuming you are complying to the MM rules
21 duty 10 driving
we used to only drive for 3 then swop
have a set of rules before you start
no good arguing over tea breaks once rolling
When i first started driving trucks, I done a week of double manning, with the same guy, who was a great guy and I learned alot from him. Done it again a few weeks later with a complete ■■■■■■, who wanted me to drive 10 hours and him drive 2, needless to say i only lasted one night with him and haven’t done it since.
The worse part, is when you’re stuck with the company spy who tells all back to the TM. Every single “fact” was a red herring though.

I’ve never double manned and tbh I’m not sure I could sleep in the same unit as a total stranger without killing them Nd disposing of the body at various RDCs around the country.
