A couple of questions, doing a double manning tommorow for first time, is it neccesary to stop for a break or can we complete the shift by just swapping the cards over when driving time for one driver is up,(obviously stopping for a couple of minutes to do this) and we expect to finish around 10pm (will be starting at 7am) so what is the earliest start time for the following day assuming those hours? (back on single manned)

The first 45 minutes of POA while you’re sat in the passenger seat with your card in slot 2 is counted as break so there’s no legal reason to stop for breaks.
What time you can start on the following day depends on whether you’ve got a reduced daily rest period available or not.
If you’ve got a reduced daily rest period available you can start work again at 07:00 if you finish at 22:00.
Even though you’re doing a 15 hour shift if you have a daily rest period of 11 hours it will be a regular daily rest period.
