There’s nothing in the regulations that says that both drivers have to finish at the same time if the shift is over 15 hours
Driver 1 does 0200 to 1900 = 17 hours
Driver 2 does 0200 to 2000 = 18 hours
Is driver 2 under MM rules from 1900 to 2000 ? or does it depend whether they drive during that period ■■

Multi-manning
‘Multi-manning’ is the situation where, during each period of driving between any two consecutive daily rest periods, or between a daily rest period and a weekly rest period, there are at least two drivers in the vehicle to do the driving. For the first hour of multi-manning the presence of another driver or drivers is optional, but for the remainder of the period it is compulsory.
