Crashed into the back of a stationary wagon, at 5 in the morning, on a dual carriageway?

RIP drive…

Plenty of questions to be asked…

the nodding donkey:

Yeah, and only 5 minutes into his journey after leaving the yard.

Crashed into back of a hgv that had broken down according to local rag.

Do you know the company involved mate?

I’m told it was a Solidor 7.5 tonner, if that is correct then he wasn’t even a couple of miles into his trip as their place is a 5 minute walk from my house.

RIP…

This has destroyed several families Xmas I expect.

Condolances to all concerned.

R.I.P Drive, sad news!

Thoughts to all.

We do a hazardous job. Stay safe out there.

Ken.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said paramedics discovered the driver in cardiac arrest, still in the cab of his lorry.

Looks like the driver could have been taken ill while driving :frowning:

Have I read this right, he’s broken down, but is also having a MI…■■?

RIP from me too…

I passed this at 07.30 and it was a sickening scene :frowning:

I’ve never been right next to a crash like this before, and what shocked me was the distance forward that the debris from the ill fated drivers cab had travelled. The blood wasn’t nice to see either.

Top respect to the emergency services who have to deal with these situations as part of their job. I also feel really sorry for the driver of the stranded artic, nobody deserves this kind of outcome.

RIP Drive. Still driving, just a different highway.

Probably had a heart attack when he realised he was about to plough into the back of another truck.
