doorstep

If your parliamentary candidate turns up on your doorstep, what questions will you ask him/her?
e.g.
will you keep or remove the new speed limit for HGV on single carriageways?
will you change the levy on foreign vehicles entering the UK
will you make fuel price allowance for HGV, PCV
Will you cancel/alter/refund/ pay for CPC?
Will you legislate to ensure agencies pay drivers for statutory 45 min break
What control will you put on entry/use of foreign drivers
What limit will you put on cabotage?
What provision will you make for more truckstops?

if its a labour candidate - can you get off my property.

I’m afraid you’re going to be very disappointed if you think any of that features in the lexicon of most MP’s

They’re not acknowledging the main issues faced by the majority of ordinary voters, such as crime, immigration etc, let alone this sort of stuff.

It’s UKIP for me (assuming they field a candidate lol). They seem to be the only ones offering something different.

As regards the others it’s the same liberal, choreographed PC lies being spouted, then five more years of do-as-you-like while we end up paying more tax, get further into debt, and more of our once great country is chipped away. :imp:

Labour certainly won’t be getting my vote. As a heterosexual, rent paying working man who claims no benefits, they can’t offer me anything.

I don’t think any future MP will show any interest in any off them points, a bit like any member of the public they mean nothing to anyone

Labour turned up 2 weeks a go … I said " not bad its the 1st time in 8 years , Naff off " . and shut the door.
The Blue one will be next, saw him 4 yrs ago .

I’d say wat you doin knocking on my door can’t you read the sign saying no political canvassers or religious nuts

Have you got a soul?

I got a Barry White cd does that count :grimacing:

Any candidate coming to your door will tell you any BS, if its gonna get your vote,

My other half had one on the doorstep last night, when challenged with the possible future cuts to disability and care system, the representative claimed " would I be canvasing the Conservatives if we where " but in hindsight they been shafting the innocent and vulnerable fort the pass 5 years…who wants to give them more time do shaft more people

Do they ■■■■ on first dates?

Have you got a soul?..you’re asking in the wrong plaice

can you make it to the other side of the gate before my dog gets out.?
ive no interest in the parasites as thats all they are…
bnp have all the right ideas for me. at least you might see some sort of difference with them, whereas the rest of them are all just the sameoldsameold.

Think I will go with the conservatives this year as a landslide is on the cards. Not labour as Ed ‘10 Kitchens’ Milliband is a bit too posh even for me + labours mess the con/lib coalition inherited seems to be on the mend.

I know I should ask about the policies but I get bored easy and am more interested in drink and ■■■. Perhaps I could ask how they will help me get these two essential items easier and cheaper.

Not sure where you get the idea a “landslide” is on the cards, everyone else is predicting a very narrow result.

As a means to show the difference in perception of the population between the Tories and Labour, I received begging e-mails from both of them
the Tories asked me to donate £20 or£50 or £100
Labour asked for £5 or £10 £50.
To me, that shows just how much out of touch the Tories are with the ordinary folk.
AS for UKIP, for anyone tempted to vote for them on the business of the EU and immigration, please take the time to look at their other policies before you do.
I thought that my local MP was a great guy even though a Tory, until I looked at his voting record. very few of his voting actions were what I would have liked… he remains a great MP for local issues however

Pure gut instinct really, I don’t have any clever political knowledge just with the amount of marginal seats and floating voters I think the tories have done enough to swing it their way for the average citizen for them to win enough marginals to gain majority.

After all floaters just look at the leaders as its a popularity contest for them.

Based on current polls this could be considered a landslide as another coalition is expected.

Just guessin…

Based on current polls this could be considered a landslide as another coalition is expected.

I’m not certain that we both mean the same by “landslide”
I understand a landslide to mean that a single party wins by a huge amount.
Usually meaning that all the opposition votes put together cannot defeat the elected government on any vote in Westminster.
I think that there is zero chance of that happening!

All looks good to me, nothing I disagree with.

And can you get Gordon Brown to return my money he gambled away when he was in power with the help of Ed Balls & that muppet Milliband.

So you will be wearing a brown shirt and frogmarching down to the voting hall then. :unamused:
