Isn’t it a better system, never seen it in the UK, no more cut curtins.
Guess it is a bit heavier though.

I have doors on both sides, and I work for a UK based company.
Made by Ekeri in Finland.
Standard system here in Scandinavia and due to good build quality not much more weight.Anyway with a total permissible train weight of 65ton you dont lose much.More efficient to open and close, especially with the long winters. Its now -i4c outside and will be like that till about May.

You won’t see it in the UK either as it will be too expensive for the race to the bottom to afford. Cheaper to replace the curtains and let the GiT insurance pay for the lost load. Keeps the merry go round going that way

Sooner or later the insurance will become so expensive or impossible to get though?
Back in the 70’s, I had a 10 ton truck with 2 sliding doors each side. Unload the rear from either side or back doors. Front was unloaded from where ever you wanted.
