Don't you just love it when. . . .

. . . .previously stretched airlines snag while leaving a yard!? They make the job so much more exciting on a Saturday morning though.

This time only involved a yellow airline, and a full load of crisps though. Managed to get a new airline quarter of a mile up the road, and fitted in no time.

Or when
You start new job and your backing under trailer and the pin won’t lock…and your new boss is watching from the porter cabin window

Oh yes, that is one of my favourite starts to a new job! What does one do to lock the work reluctant pin thou?

1: Ram it home in high speed reverse?
2: Irritate your new boss by wasting his time letting him know?
3: Attempt to get the pin to close by rattling it by hand, thus undignifying ones self in his heels and suspenders?

:imp: Got into the yard last Tuesday 5am, only to find my Brand New Man Tractor Unit hooked up to a trailer (I left it on the previous Thursday parked solo) The ‘Shunter’ had very kindly connected it up then loaded it up at silly oclock in the morning, Thankyou, I thought.
When I checked it out, the ‘Shiney New’ Black air line was snagged around the curtain ratchet (that hadn’t been stowed in its correct position, in his usual haste :imp: ) & one of the ‘Leky’ leads was also snagged on the front of the trailer :imp: :imp: :imp:
Luckily no damage done, but he must have nearly jack knifed it round the yard to get both lines ‘Tangled up’ (great new song by Caro Emerald)

The guys that load my trailer do not get the front of the trailer curtain to cover up the handles where you tighten up the curtain, so the lines will get snagged in them when you do a tight turn.
They also do not stow the trailer wind up leg handle, they place it in between the side guard of the trailer, so when it is loaded, the handle is trapped, and you can not wind up the legs.

Does lifting the suspension not help after taking the weight off the legs?
