Don't trust anyone who's not a driver

So today I did a collection from a business on a small industrial estate. One of these ones that’s in the middle of a residential area rather than one in the outskirts of town where there is plenty of space to move.

I could have turned round where I was but I was a little tight so I thought I’d find out if I could not turn round, but instead continue driving down the road and get back to the main road somewhere down there. So I asked the fork lift driver.

I said can I either get out down there mate or is there anywhere down there that’s got more space to spin round.

He said yeah mate you can get out down there. Just follow it round, go up the hill and that brings you back up to the main road up to the motorway.

Great I thought. Nice easy way out.

Got round the first corner to find there was a 7.5t limit for the rest of that road with even less space to spin round than what I had in the first place.

That’s my lesson learned!

Good, there’s a good reason why he/she is a forkie…![emoji16][emoji23]

My first week after I pass my test. My second man waving me, like a bank man, when I reversing. Then I catch the parked car. Then second man turn his head, see the accident, stop waving and show hands up. Mean stop.
