There is no such thing as an unimportant job(

I reckon mines pretty unimportant, I’m sure if I stopped doing it there wouldn’t be a state of panic in our great nation.

Yes there would. As the shops run empty, panic buying and anarchy sets in

Sorry lads I’m a bit out of puff. Just ran up the road to tesco and I can confirm that they do not sell racing cars. Or in fact trees.

Did they have any sand and gravel?

Couple of bags of play sand. No gravel.

I best crack on then, I don’t want them running out of play sand and the inevitable civil unrest that would follow.

If there was a all out driver strike the effects would be felt pretty quick but say the oil refinery workers went out the country would grind to a halt even quicker. Say warehouse workers went on strike we we wouldn’t have much to deliver.
We are just one cog in a big wheel.
I know stobart gets a bad press in this industury but they have done more good for its image with the public than anything else.

To be honest I monitored the display and no one even looked at it. Maybe I put them off? [emoji15] But fair play to you if you can crack on today and save us from London style riots.

so from what I can see so far, is one side think all drivers who pass a test which isn’t really that hard means we should all wear capes? the other half agree its just a job and isn’t really that important.

to me I reckon its more the latter, its a basic test with even after the dcpc a huge lack of knowledge exists within this job, just look on here.

going to the original point I don’t think its a very clever way of promoting HGV drivers or getting the general public on side. the issue you will always have is that we are always in the way whether its at 6am stopping MD mike getting to a business meeting or 7pm stopping him getting home.

totally disagree with the stobarts have done good comment. how has it improved things?

I get you snowman. Methinks a bit of not-very-well thought out, low-level trolling has transpired. Just keep an eye out in the near future for some of these posters being ever-so-slightly hypocritical, and contradicting themselves.

Tin hat on. :unamused:

Coffeeholic, I think this may be the first time you have been accused of being a troll.

I believe you may be right, at least under this username.

It may have happened way in the past under different username(s) but I am not in a position to confirm or deny that. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t mean stobart have improved the industury just that they have a largely positive image with the general public.

Les routiers sont sympa

The-Snowman:
Plenty of people could never drive an artic due to its size.

I’m not sure about that, given the amazing number of half-witted liabilities who are loose behind the wheel of an artic. Any idiot can drive one, it’s driving one properly that takes a bit of skill.
