Done up like a kipper!

i’ve just returned from a cousins funeral, & there’s a letter waiting for me, it states that i had parked my car in a controlled zone 0730/900 it was 0855, i spoke with the girl as she was writing the ticket, she said if you go now, take it as a warning  i left thought that was it finished, that was 18th dec, today a letter telling me seeing as i’ve ignored the ticket i’m being hit for £60 !! :open_mouth: in all honesty the girl said on your way, & that was that  but now the council is telling me tough ■■■,this is BANG OUT OF ORDER!! :open_mouth: the last ticket i got i paid up £3o no questions guilty as charged, but i’m livid @ this.

was you given a ticket, if not ask them for a copy of the ticket tell them no ticket was issued to you at that time by the girl and you were there taking to her

scumbags, im in the process of appealing with edinburgh city council about a parking ticket, supposidly i was parking in a restriced parking area, now if that is true then every single car along south gyle crescent shoul dbe getting ticketed everyday, and i was lucky to get a space where i did, also my cars tyres were in the yellow lines, but my car has a long over hang at the back which was hanging over the yellow lines, i took photos and am in dispute, also i got ticket 3mins 48 seconds after i had parked up and went into dhl to work (they dont allow us to use the car park which is a pain in the flaming backside)

ask them for the proff of the ticket no proff then dont even offer to pay anything let then say anything they like no court in the uk will allow it to go no further.

i’ll chase it up 2morrow,it’s well cheeky, they’ve more cheek than an elephants arse. :imp:

Pay the fine…Then go at them with both barrels.

I’m not certain, but, isn’t paying the fine an admission of guilt?

Could be wrong…

No its not an admission of guilt, but if you don’t pay it, the charges will stack up big time. It is easier to fight them if you have paid it.
A friend of mine is a bailiff he collects parking fines all day long from people who are ‘Innocent’ (not saying this guy is guilty).

You should have 28 days from the date of the letter to pay the fine! Use them to see if you have a case for appeal.

Appealing after you have paid makes things a lot trickier.

i’ve spoken with a nice helpful lady on the phone, & i’ve done as she’s asked i’ve put it in writing, she pulled up the ticket number & told me that the vehicle was driven away as noted on the ticket, she thinks it will be binned… here’s hope’n
