Doing the initial DCPC after getting your HGV licence

This goes back to our Spanish lad who got his hgv’s in Spain in 2010, but didn’t do the Spanish version of the initial DCPC.

After the answers on here and looking into it, its would seem to be easier an quicker for him to do his initial DCPC here instead of Spain.

My next question is when does the count down for his periodic DCPC renewal take place. From the date he passed his test or from when he got his initial DCPC?

The five year period starts when he’s passed his Mod 4. (practical initial cpc)

Cheers that’s good news didn’t want him to go through his initial DCPC only for him to have to complete his periodic DCPC in less than a year.
