Poorly paid as I understand it and they employ a lot of drivers from Poland.

They did have part of the Cadbury contract but
they may have lost that now - not sure.

Where are you, what contract etc.

Turners are a big firm with lot of different contracts doing lots of different types of work, all with their own wage structure (varies between location even doing same job) and terms and conditions.

I was on containers out of Manchester on the OOCL contract, it was ok, didn’t have much dealings with Turners, they supplied the truck and skel, they paid the wage, and I phoned them if I had breakdown or a problem with my wages.
All my dealings were with OOCL except the above and my sacking which was dealt with in a poor manor - but this is the experience of 1 depot and contract.
My Turners boss was based in Southampton.
