well, for all those members on here who are NOT from the Central Scotland area (which, i would hazard a guess, that it is most of the membership) would not know the name, and more than likely have no reason to know the name

Thats one of the funniest things I’ve seen on here
fair point but anyone who recognises the name will probably get a headache from the alarm bells. new company (to this guy) and a new venture which, lets just say, is not quite as he portrays it when he is headhunting his former drivers. i did my assessment with Gist today and was then informed that at i might get one or two contracts per week which is not the ‘as many shifts as you want doing what you want’ sales pitch that i was given. 3rd in line for the work just doesnt quite tally up with that 
the work will be there and the money certainly isnt bad but it really is a question of who you go through to get it and staffplus is not the most lucrative route in there. far from it! do one shift though and you are unable to work there through anyone else for 6 weeks. despite temporarily pulling my services to ADR, i am giving serious consideration to pulling the plug on this lot already and i only signed up today

i know this guy after i left snt in shotts i thought ill give them ago and i registered with staff plus the guy talks more crap that comes out if a donkey. i done the assesment for tescos passed then found out its only a couple off hours a week told him to ram it and told him to take me off there book ever since he phones my house when im out working leaving messages hes a knob and a big one at that.
i found a good full time job in the lanarkshire area if anyone is looking for work give me a pm and ill explain more.

no need to slag the guy off. i am just curious to know how many people here have already come across him. chances are they will now avoid staff plus now anyway without any slagging off. as already mentioned, he promises lots of work but cant deliver on those promises

dont bother calling staff plus and trying to speak to someone other than him. they wont talk to you and if you turn up in person, you wont get as far as their office. very strange but speaks volumes

Search recruitment and Iceland he earned his chips. Was ok with me long time ago in 02. These recruitment consultants do move on, get made redundant or start up on their own complete with all driver and client contact’s. Just take the phone numbers with them I believe.
Have you got involved with the target v topclass Russel saga Scanny? Much work?
3rd line line to put drivers with a client doesnt quite add up to the plentiful amount of work that he seems to suggest is available and everything is very hush hush. most agencies prefer drivers to stay away from their offices but when you cant get in to fill out the forms
i am working for target this week after a default from ADR (13 hour sunday shift) but i didnt know Russell had left until a few weeks ago and i still know nothing about it nor will i get involved. i tend to avoid politics between them and keep to agencies who have different clients. this is a temporary ban though and i will go back to iceland for the xmas rush although how long ADR will be in there is anyones guess.
Can’t say I know the name but I avoid the agencies after a bad time with a couple in the Northants area. Driverhire in my area doesn’t have much of anything for drivers anyway and being 20 miles from Edinburgh I seriously doubt I’d be first call for anything that was up for grabs. As it stands I’m doing full time, not great money but money in the bank every week.
