Just done 7 hours of this CPC thingy…‘■■■■■■■■■■■ cyclists and other road users or not, whatever’.The lecturer an elderly gentleman no doubt topping up his pension
delivered what I considered an extremely boring 7 hours and foolishly at the end he asked opinons of his performance, did we gain anything?.Not one to tell lies I gave my opinion that I had gained nought and he was extremely boring…didn’t go down very well I must have been a first. In words afterwards he stated he never wanted me in
his lectures again and the good bit…he would not charge me for the 7 hours…RESULT!!! But I was thinking as he droaned on that this CPC business is a
bandwagon drivers might want to jump on…a nice little earner when you hang up your string back driving gloves but I am sure it will end up being dominated by
the cretins from Vosa and others within the Department Of Abject Failure In Transport. An excellent article in the latest T&D by Alec Saville sums up what the CPC
really is…a money earner…and we’re paying…come on lets get on the bandwagon believe some drivers already have. But I suppose we must remember ‘those who
can do,those who can’t teach’.
Report the boring trainer to the course provider
Interesting thought ROG but his response was such I think he will be making strenuous efforts to improve his delivery, more interested in the Vosa vehicle I
followed down the A38 travelling in excess of 70mph who seemed to believe he owned the outside lane till he realised I was following him with interest.
As for the title ?
Probably Yes ,
As for the course ?
Did you learn anything new ? or did you come away having been enlightened by any items within its content ?
Personally, I look at any course with an open view disregard who is presenting it. We cant all be worthy witty and comedians.
If I learn at least one new thing and have been enlightened by another, within a course contents , then it was worth attending,
just my opinion .
I did an inhouse one Thursday just gone, the trainers attitude was good, made it seem DHL are the best in the world, but we all had a good craic.
I marked the trainer 5/5 for presentation etc, but for the how useful was todays course i marked it a 1.
You say he won’t be charging you, will that mean he will not be giving you the credit for the course, in the form of your 7 hours upload
To reply, the subject could have been delivered in about 2 hours at most but this old chap just seemed to keep repeating himself over and over again to fill 7 hours.
Did I gain any benefit, none what so ever certainly a case of ‘teaching Granny to ■■■■ eggs’ but that has been claimed about the CPC on many occasions.Seems a
great waste of time and money in these harsh economic times. As for the credit I do have a certificate stating I have done the course,if he chooses to fail
to upload details then it could be fun.
