just wondering if co-op / NDL issue you with maps , risk assessments to there stores like tesco do ,

I remember when I worked at the Thurrock depot, there were several ring-binders in transport, that had details of every shop that they delivered to, out of that RDC. You just had to ask for the page (or pages) relevant to the shops you were delivering to, quoting the store number. You couldn’t take them with you, but they would give you a photocopy. If you did collections from suppliers, farms etc., they usually had maps for those places too.
If you’re talking about the Andover site, I would like to think that the Co-op managers have put in the same system.

cheers guys , start at avonmouth on monday , 1 day induction , out with a driver for a day then 3 days dcpc i have driven for tdg /ndl on agency , they had sat navs fitted in the truck ,

At Avonmouth you will be given a pack which will have all the maps in it for you route as well as other information. The hand held computers (MDT) has satnav built into it but DO NOT follow it blindly.

MDTS don’t work too well, they route you around 16ft and lower bridges! lol

Maps arnt brilliant but the written instructions are just about spot on. I normally have a look on google maps on my phone if I’m not sure. To be honest I rarely use a sat nav from Andover depot.
