Hi, I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I am trying to find anyone who may have known my Dad. His name was Eddy Jones (Idris Abel Jones actually) and he drove a tanker for Buckley Tankers of Warrington in the 1970’s. He died on Sunday 16th June 1974, after collapsing in his cab and being taken to Warrington General Hospital.He had a massive heart attack. He was 37 years old. He was married to Joyce, and had 5 children, and I’m his eldest child. I remember one of the other drivers for Buckleys was called Albert Bennett who lived in Runcorn. We lived in Widnes. My Dad would be 77 now, if he’d lived, and I know that he knew a lot of drivers. I seem to remember Sam Evans was a friend of his if that helps, and also the Karalius brothers who came from St Helens and played rugby league. I just wondered if there was anyone out there who knew him, or remembered him. Thank you.
