Does anyone know of any Events?

Hi I’m new to all of this so forgive me if this is a silly question.

I was looking at attending some specialist events or conferences and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
I can travel pretty much anywhere over the UK.

I have looked online and can’t seem to find much info

Do you know of any specialist events or conferences that myself or my father could attend (he is fully qualified)?
When and where are they?
What do they include or talk about?

Thanks in advanvce

what are you actually asking?

Seminars appertaining to the road haulage industry do you mean

Qualified in what ?

You need to be a bit more specific, as there is quite a broad spectrum across the Industry .
.Are you asking - - Vehicle builders, Road haulage association, mechanics/mechanical/ engineering/ customising/ fleet operations , Recovery, Unions, Highways, Local Council roads authorities , roads Policing , DVSA , DVLA , siph scar and bar, etc etc
.
start with 35 hrs dcpc - that`ll get you started and time in your life you wont get back :sunglasses:
.
its not phil is it ?

You just put a link up yourself that seems to have disappeared now which answered your own question of events dates and places etc.
You still don’t state which event you would be interested in though ie blue light course, fast roads etc.
I done a few in my current job and to tell you the truth that’s the only way you’d get me to attend one.

HI,

Yeah I managed to find one but that was for people who were looking into becoming a HGV Driver Trainer etc i think.
I just love anything to do with trucks and wondered if you guys meet up every now and again.
My dad is a HGV driver and would also attend any events as he likes meeting other drivers.

This is the one I found airso.org.uk/truckandbusdrivertraining.html

A few on the old timers meet up once a year,id meck one if it wasnt too far away

I think most of the conferences or seminars would be for people already in the industry and are mostly attended by those involved with the management of companies not drivers.

I think the type of event you’re looking for would be various truckfest events. http://www.truckfest.co.uk/

And the east coast truckers run a few events during the years to help support the childrens convoy, http://www.eastcoasttruckers.co.uk/events.html

Pop along to one of these workshops ( seminars) , its free :grimacing: :

iamdriveandsurvive.co.uk/events/

worth a couple of hours
.
Conferences are an ideal social area for Management Networking , they may not be suited to what you are specifically looking for.
often not suited to mere mignons.

.
. You may find that various other Conferences and seminars can come at a cost to delegates /visitors attending,
be prepared to put your hand in your pocket ( or your dads) to pay entry fees or yearly memberships
.
For those that go for yearly membership to your trade related , its` tax deductible. :grimacing: and some give letters after your name.
.
That AIRSO you posted costs.

Try a visit here this weekend coming , enjoy :grimacing: :
