… of a certain age see this and immediately think “ERF Olympic”?
To be very pedantic the name Olympic referred to the cab trim / spec and not the high roof .
Oh bugger off Dan
Still got those…
Stupendously large pool table sized mirrors I see.

I’m so so so careful when turning right at a T junction because of the massive blind spot but still managed to frighten a car driver and myself on Monday. Luckily I saw the shadow of his car in front of me just in time.

I’d take one tomorrow over the Craptros.
Come to think of it, I’d take the ERF Olympic over the Craptros.

Aye…nobody likes a smart arse Dan.
You can lose even a rigid lorry in this blindspot. Experience has taught me that I really should treat every give way as a stop sign really.

As you know I used to drive an Actros and as I’ve said before it’s only when you drive another marque that you realise just how dire the new Actros’s really are. I’d take my old 61 plate big cab one back in a heartbeat though.

What I don’t…
Understand is, surely Hans or Klaus or whoever is test driving it round Frankfurt or where ever say’s to the designers ‘ze mirrors are much grossen, make zem smoller’.

No, not as much as the new Scarnia…
To be fair, the basic shape of the MAN hasn’t changed for what, 20 years now. The design works, lots of room inside (once you remove the stupid coolbox/bunk step).
Bit like the DAF XF (the original 95 was introduced what, 30+ years ago…) just nowhere near as good

Because they don’t. Our, old small rigid MAN, with quarterlights Has the thick dividing bar between opening window and fixed quarterlight exactly in line with, yep, the centre of the mirror.

Perhaps you should retract the roller blind

I’d give you 30 minutes before you realised you’d made a huge mistake

Or preferably cameras
I’m glad they haven’t changed too much on the new ones,I like how simple the M.A.N are to work with,I’d take one over a new Scania every time.

I’m driving one of those high-tops on a 15 plate and it has a proper fridge! Still the same stupid shape though.

I miss my XXL MAN [emoji22]
Now driving a high top XF in another job
New pastures

Yeh…
I’ll agree with that. If not cameras, a man with a red flag would be less obtrusive.
