Does Antony know

Recently for no good reason I started wondering when wing mirrors went out and door mirrors took over and what was the last car to have wing mirrors as standard. I think either ■■■■■■ mk1 or viva.

I had a 1970 Mk2 Cortina that had them on

Seen a few Mitsubishi Shoguns with one fitted, mostly imports from Japan where wing mirrors or fender mirrors as they are sometimes called are still popular, Google images comes up with a few on modified Japanese cars but TBH they look crap on modern cars

Morris Oxfords had them and they were made up to 1971.

Series 2 Landrover
Rover TC (The P6 shape.)
Morris Marina
Morris 1100
MK3 Cortina

Ken.

Yeah i was gonna suggest Triumph. My dad had a couple of Triumph 2000’s from the early seventies with the wing mirrors.

BTW, who’s Antony? :stuck_out_tongue:

MY dad had an old type letter at the end r reg Volvo 240 estate that had them. What would that be 1975 or so?

Antony is a Cupid stunt isn’t he, oops

Transit Mk 1 up to 1978 had them.

London black taxis had them fitted in the Nineties.
