Dodgy stoneridge tacho!

We have a truck in the fleet with a digi tacho …when ejecting if its not set on bed the next day either yourself or a different driver who inserts a card …the display starts not as 00.00 but whatever the driver finished on the previous day ■■?

What are you referring to that should get set at 00:00, I assume you mean driving time ?

From what you’ve said my guess is that the tachograph is probably working correctly, the fault probably lies with the drivers who are ejecting the card with the tachograph on other work and I’m guessing are not doing manual entries when next inserting the driver card.

Yes sorry driving time… if the cards ejected on hammers at say h3.42m driving time … that h3.42m will display the next day when card inserted so after 38 mins driving it starts beeping it thinks your first period is over ■■ But if ejected on bed at end of shift everythings fine

Agree with all your work mates to put all tachos on bed when cards are taken out at night and then you’ll all be fine

You’re not doing manual entries when inserting the driver card are you ?

It sounds like a type 2 digital tachographs which, unless a manual entry is done, will simply continue the shift from the previous shift when the card is inserted, the solution is simple enough, when the driver card is inserted do a manual entry to cover the rest period.

A few people have been caught out with this and the solution is always the same, do a manual entry when you insert you card and I’m certain you’ll find everything is fine

Will do that mate thx

My old type 2 Stoneridge just used to flash up “Rest until now?” As soon as I put my card in.

U cant beat the standars siemens simple as !!

I would say its more “Dodgy User” than “Dodgy Head Unit”

Do a manual entry to show rest period and it will show 00:00 - or 4:30 if it is the new one that counts down.

I admit ive never manual entried a rest period !!! Everydays a school day
