Would you take this XF out on medium distance work all day? First one`s o/s, and possibly in the “A” zone i would say, and second one n/s.
I put a defect note in, and refused to move until the workshop gaffer put his own ass in a sling and officially authorised it as ok. 
Although i reluctantly (more likely foolishly) took it out, i still think it should have been VOR`d until a new screen was put in or whatever was needed to rectify it was carried out. Unimpressed.
It’s an MOT fail. Might take it if I felt visibility wasn’t impaired. Wouldn’t be happy for it to go unrepaired for too long though.

You are responsible for taking the vehicle out on the road, what ever the workshop foreman says. I wouldn’t have took it out of the yard. Its your licence and you would be taking the rap.
