I haven’t seen the film, but I do remember the seemingly endless tv series with David Janssen in the role. Never saw a bloke do so many moody expressions. Sadly he died at only 48, booze and fags have been mentioned in his early demise.
Would that series have been shot in black and white?
Can’t remember, when did colour tv come in? He died in 1980 and had done several things after that series.
