Do you wear pyjamas for kip time?

So just got off the phone to the wife. In amongst various topics of discussion I said “it’s alright tonight on my bunk naked, cool breeze but still warm enough” to which she was shocked at me sleeping naked in my cab.

We then got into what other truck drivers sleep in - ie whether im normal or not - and i had to confess I don’t actually know, or haven’t thought about at all, ever.

But as the topic has arisen do you kip in the buff like me (sometimes), teddy bear pyjamas with a Dave the DVSA bear cuddly toy (like connor) or just in the same clothes youve been in all day (like robroy) :laughing:

in the buff where i decide its safe from possible intrusion…skiddies elsewhere…mostly skiddies round me ankles in case of a quick arousal… :open_mouth:

Thought I was the only one who slept naked.
Last time I wore pjs be about 20 years ago

Sleep naked rain or shine…even through the cold winter’s nights parked up in Scotland. Doesn’t bother me don’t feel the cold. And hardly use the night heater either.
Ok use it when parked up .But once I’m in bed it goes off

It depends on the weather, normally, just a T-shirt, in the winter be under two duvets, in summer 1, if it’s chuffing hot, on top starkers.

I haven’t worn Pyjamas since I was 6 and only wear underpants if sharing a cabin on a ferry. I’ve not used a sleeping bag since the early 80’s

DVSA spies will be taking note, future ppe will include paisley patterned cotton pjs to be worn with hi vis vest, so midnight calls of nature become less of a hazard :laughing:
