Do you think you are good in lorries?

I completely forgot about this thread and bumped onto it by accident:

HomoFaber:
13. Zubr A80 (it’s from Jelcz works, isn’t it?)

Yes, and yes

  1. Tur (as I suspected Skoda/Liaz 706 chassis, product of cooperation between Liaz and Jelcz, several tipper prototypes built at Jelcz, boxvans at Liaz, not many pics around, where did you get this one from? I’d like to find out more…)

Yes. Don’t have much pictures of it…

HomoFaber:
19. TAM 75, Made in YU

Yes

  1. IZh 2717, Made in RU by Izhmash (why the hell does it remind me of Moskvich Aleko…let me see… oh dear, it’s got its name on numberplate…)

Yes

HomoFaber:
23. Dutra DR50, I was wrong when I said “Soviet beast”, it’s actually “gay huszar” (Made in Hungary)

Right again

HomoFaber:
4. looks like a Nysa van to me, but the front grill…

It’s because this is very rare, early version. Off course you’re right, it is Nysa.

  1. could that be Autosan H6 bus converted into boxvan?

Well, the photo is missing already… But you might be right there as well if it was something like this:

And I was then in Croatia? Indeed, I got stuck on the border, I remember that one

I’ll make it clear what it’s now guessed and what’s not.

1 DONE: Steyr

And if you’ll like it, I have some more, buses and cars

I certainly recognise number 17… It’s at Sparwood, BC.
12 looks like a Simca van
1 looks like an MAN
2 looks like a Hino
Is 14 an AX Citroen?
32 has to be a Fiat…

Sorry, but I lost a lot of my memory circuits last year…

1 and 22 …skodas? 12 14 and 26 look like fso polonez ?

Oh and 15 are BMC buses

I should say Number 1 is from the Steyr Puch stable, so probably Steyr.

  1. Tatra
  2. ARO
  3. IFA

1 : Zagad
2: Tatra
7 : Tatra 803
14: Skoda
17: Terex Titan
22: Skoda-Liaz Xena
26: Tatra van?
27: Ikarus
30: Ikarus
32: looks like a fiat panda van lol

Number 17 might be in Canada, and it is Titan.

12 Looks like simca van, but it was also known as… ?

1 looks as a man but as Wheel Nut rightly spotted it’s Steyr

2 is NOT Hino, it’s Tatra, gogzy’s Right on this.

14 Has nothing to do with Citroen

and 32 nothing close to Fiat

22 is indeed Skoda

There is no FSO Polonez there.

15 The bus in question (on the left) it’s not BMC.

11 It is indeed Tatra

21 it’s NOT Aro

28 it’s NOT IFA

7 - Yes, it’s Tatra

14 it’s NOT Skoda

26 it’s NOT Tatra

and 27 and 30 are Ikaruses

So you got 8 rigt so far. Not bad, especially, that that has nothing to do with circuits, I bet you never seen most of them, so 25% is not so bad .

14— Lada

21—Tarpan

Maybe??

Sir +:

Correct. I was really surprised to seen one in Outer Hebrides… They were having hard times back in Poland, so I did not expected them to export RHD to here

Btw: how do you find this fruit of the Polish construction thought?

The older models were very simple but famous for reliability and nice driving…

The same cab, yes, but the 803 was mostly used as a heavy tractor (they used to pull all heavy machines when I was small kid) while 813 is a 8X8 off road one

Not too bad really, they tend to be used only for school buses over here…ideal for the job 70 schoolkids at a time withoout the need for a double decker
