Thing is, the guy lying in a drunken stupor in the middle of the road was a major contributing factor. He was the one that got in that state and sadly paid the ultimate price for that stupidity.
Yep the taxi driver got distracted, but is it really any different to a truck driver looking around for a road or drop, or a bus driver having to look in their interior mirrors to see what passengers are up to.

The standards of “certain” cab drivers in Stoke is absolutely shocking. Rather a lot of them hail from Cobridge.
I’m not saying they should stick to exactly the same rules as us, but why the blazes don’t they have to have tachos fitted?
What is to stop them working 24 hours a day?
