Do you speed?

I do even though i disagree with it but it depends solely on whether i am paid by the hour or if i’m paid job and finish.

I think most people do or have done so in the past if conditions allow, but what with the introduction of the speed camera…and not knowing where they all are i stick to the limits…its ok in your own kneck of the woods cos you know where the cameras are or on a familiar piece of road…but i wouldnt chance it now…i wouldnt want a rubber stamp on my licence after all these years keeping it clean…now my dad used to do Berlin and back in a day…admittedly he would run back empty…after tipping in the town centre from 18.000 feet…
have a nice day

Of course, I have met very few trucks on my journeys that do drive at 40 on single carrageways

Of course I have gone over the limit occasionally, and i’m sure everyone has, without exception. Whats the point though, you’re only getting there faster for the boss, who will expect you to do it all the time. And if they dont like you sticking to the limits, tell em to stick it, and if he fires you, a) there’s a huge shortage of drivers and b) enjoy the compensation you get when you take them to court for unfair dismissal.

Why do people put up with ■■■■■■■■ bosses like this?

Allrighty

40mph on singles, limiter on dual carriageways. I did occasionally speed on A roads, but not often. Too much chance of getting in trouble these days :unamused:

Paid by salary, no need to rush nowadays. However, when I was on containers on bonus that was a different matter :unamused:

I won’t, but not through any holier-than-thou reason. Simply because I’ve already decorated my license with 9 points, and driving is my sole income and with debts to pay, I simply can’t afford to.

40 in the NSLs, 50 on DCs limiter on MWs etc. I’m a good boy me

no i don’t

my depot is at least 10 or 15 minutes from the nearest motorway so if anyone on the fleet has a big accident (heaven forbide) and vosa come in and check tachos from the depot i know mine are clean. some off them do come flying past me but its there licences not mine.

plus the fact i now only have to wait for 3 more years to get 3 points removed :imp: , leason learnt

jon

i would speed if conditions allowed but the muppets in goverment should change speed limits depending on weather and road condtions andtime of day :bulb:

it is a single carriageway (40) or above

51% [ 20 ]
it is a dual carriageway (50) or above

25% [ 10 ]
it is a motorway (60)

10% [ 4 ]
