Stanfield:
Re Sept edition of C&VC mag, I got a reply to my email today from Phil Weedon editorial director of Kelsey Publishing and he states that it should have had another mag with it as a promotional pack thats why its £6.95 so into W H Smith tomorrow to have it out with them.
Read through the mag then took it back to complain and they gave me my money back(happy ending)
Was the A to Zzzzz any good?
Its just reached O for Overland so I would imagine its got a long way to go yet. Will the magazine survive that long?

The guy writing that absolute turd of a feature must be on pay per feature…talking about dragging the job out
Frankydobo:
Yeah I’m of the same opinion with CVC, I’ll be knocking it on the head. I was annoyed with the latest issue, yet another Atkinson Borderer article, now I like these motors as much as other blokes do but when a guy like John Norman has had to send in a pic of his restored Seddon to attract some interest from the Ed of CVC, who replied by saying nice pics John can you send in some more! Not we’ll get down and do an article on this nice restoration then something tells me CVC are only interested in certain makes and types and can’t be bothered with the less attractive makes. There are also too many foreign motors included in the pages for me too, this might be because the classic Brit vehicles CVC are only interested in are becoming exhausted or they think they are more appealling, sorry not for me I’m ‘chock up ti tash’ with Scania’s and Volvo’s which no doubt will be the only makes that we will see regularly. Not worth the price anymore and that editors comments get on my nerves! Franky.
Hopefully – John Norman’s Seddon will appear in CVC -

About time something different was featured; I havent bothered to comment on the last few issues as they’ve not even taken 5mins to browse in WHSmith…
Who/what would you like to see in it? (I agree that the A to ZZZ should go…)

genuine question -
More retro trucks, less readers memories, make the carrying on feature much larger, less seen in france type stuff.

And get rid of that crap page he has introduced with “spot the difference” on

Perhaps a readers wives feature would do well–alan
