Do you pay Severn Toll on your card?

If you do - check your bank statements! I just had three non-existent payments taken out of my account. Crossed the old bridge a few weeks ago (which came out a week later), then crossed the new bridge today. Checked my account and 4 payments have gone out. It happened to another of our driver’s last week, apparently. Just emailed them now, so will let you know what happens - but keep an eye out, Guys & Gals…
:imp:

is that the bridge over to wales?

Yes, sorry Mate, I should have said  It appears that the problem is on the old bridge (M48), but it could be on the new one (M4) as well. If they don’t sort it quickly, the next time I’m crossing the bridge I’ll park across three booths and walk over to the offices to have a quiet word in their shell-likes :smiling_imp:
Listen out on Sally Traffic’s reports - you’ll hear if I’m there, trust me

Thanks for posting that. I am off to Cardiff and Swansea tomorrow and I will avoid the toll full stop.

I’ll give them a couple of days, so you’ll be safe tomorrow
But pay cash!

I noticed a payment for the new crossing was taken from my account today. I have been on holiday for 2 weeks so have not used it at all.
I have asked work for a list of all the times I have used it and will compare them! It maybe they are just slow collecting, but I will check.

Someone else has told me that they had a payment taken, and they’ve been off for a couple of weeks. I wonder how many have been scammed and don’t even know?

I’ve used it 3 times, but 6 weeks ago. Just checked my bank and payment had only just gone out for a crossing I made on the 24/6. But they took payment for 18/6 and 20/6 ages ago.
So I would check your statement. Or ring your bank up, they can see when you used your card, and what day payment went out for it.

Can’t be a Scam.

I believe our ‘Wonderful’ Government control the crossing & they can ‘Take’ as much as they like from our Bank Accounts.

Just look what happened in Greece !

LOL !

I used to bring my mate with me who had a disabled badge until the inconsiderate git went and died.

I carry a cheque book, on the advice of another driver. The only one I write i for the crossing, one cheque = one crossing, no doubling. Don’t know if they still take cheques though now they are taking card payment

That’s what seatbelts are for!! Keeps the body upright.

Bonus if you have a reefer, just lump them in the trailer when not needed.

Sometimes have to use it unexpectedly - boss refunds it immediately so no problem.

I just turn up and say " Sorry mate I’ve got no dosh" they give me a non payment form which then ends up in the office. Simples

Cheers for the info’, but I still reckon that our ‘Thieving Masters’ will have their Snouts somewhere in this Revenue Generating Troff.

I bet your boss is happy to pay the £5 admin fee every time?

Better than the £10 I’d charge to lend the firm my money.

(We have a cash float for tolls, parking etc).
