Well obviously I do know what OCRS means and what it’s intentions are, but I imagine if that is your first question at interview, you will be writing a lot of covering letters and CV.
A company who knows their own score has obviously had recent dealings with the establishment, the rest will just think you are talking a foreign language
Thought you were going somewhere internet & phoneless for Xmas??

I am back, fully refreshed and starting to sober up from the affects of a libation that is brewed in Masham
It was a bit heavy snowfall in Whitby and we missed the pub for two days

The only difference is the VI had intelligent staff who could think for themselves, unlike the current bunch of brainless inbreeds who don’t know one end of a truck from another.
there is method in their madness. they are now employing VOSA staff who are of similiar intelligence to the transport managers that we are having to deal with these days. like the one who believed the shunter who told him that a vehicle with a blown bulb is only illegal to send out on the road if the driver reports it
My answer if I had been ale to vote would have been no. So I found out and now my answer would be yes, so thanks for educating me. My answer to anybody who asked me what my rating is in an interview would be " I haven’t got a rating so how could I know" the way understand it only companies have a rating. So i wouild be sitting there wondering why they would ask me such a question.

Correct. Its the operator who is rated. If you read my post again carefully, I did say that I, as interviewee, would be asking the interviewer.
Interviews are not all questions from one side only.
To those who missed the voting deadline. Sorry, the poll ran for almost 3weeks, thought it was long enough. The thread had by that time sunk well down the pages.

OCRS is simply a computerised version of choosing who to stop. Even 20 years ago the then Vehicle Inspectorate would have a fair idea who to check without needing a computer. The only difference is the VI had intelligent staff who could think for themselves, unlike the current bunch of brainless inbreeds who don’t know one end of a truck from another.
Having seen VOSA in operation many times I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw one so I would never pay any attention to an operators OCRS. All it takes is one jumped up Hitler who hasn’t been laid for a week to send a perfectly legit company into amber.
I didn’t know what the OCRS stood for, although I knew VOSA had an ANPR type system in their cars. Always wondered why I’ve never been stopped by Vosa, despite passing their checkpoints sometimes 3 or 4 times in a single day.
