Do you check your wage slips thoroughly?

:open_mouth:

I’ve never really bothered to check my wage slips properly. I’ve allus been of the frame of mind in that if it looks about right, it probably is.

I’ve just checked the week before lasts to find that less my breaks, I’m 5.75hrs short on my overtime (already factored in my breaks) and a night out short (no it wasn’t a “dodgy” one) :open_mouth: .

That’s £46.92 + £18.75 :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I wonder how many of my others are short as well :open_mouth: .

Robbing gets  .

I feel a certain person at work will be getting their ear bent tomorrow  .

 :frowning:

What’s a wage slip

You really are dim aren’t you :unamused: . It’s the thing that your wage is printed on at the end of the week so you know how much you’ve been paid. :bulb:

:unamused:

i always check mine.
They check everything i do so its one thing i feel the need to check.

You never know they might have paid me to much…

You won’t be familiar with them anyway will you ? Any money you are due from DHL will be going towards the never ending costs of new engines for the TGA you keep blowing up    .

That may be the case Rob,but remind me how much do you get paid per hour for the tramping that you do  And how much do i get for Mon-fri no night’s out,no sleeping in back of cab.etc.etc.etc. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

When you make a query to the wages department, always ask them this question…

Are your wages ever wrong?

Ken.

i have not worked since febuary but always used to check everything written on pay slip and if it is not correct i want it corrected by the following week.
if not then the wagon does not move.
mistakes to happen but when the pen pushers are made aware of the porblem then i want it sorted.

try working at freightliner your wages are never right and they are paid monthly.

Hi,That’s a good Topic

I pay each Week over £140.- Tax
Could some one tell my how i get a Taxnumber to pay the Tax myself?
Have a lot to Buy and could do away from the Tax.
If you have anything helps you no one, exept you are Pregnant or have a disability,or how that is called.
So why must i pay full Tax,and when i buy anything pay i Tax again?

Go on,Tell my

If Archies would pay me on a self-employed basis where I’m responsible for paying my own deductions then I’d be laughing, but sadly they’re not up for it :frowning: .

Meanwhile I shall put up with the government taking a slice for now.

Made a blue. See below for real post

I have always checked my pay slips
and have often corrected mistakes. Since many years
now I’ve kept them too, there was a time when I would
have thought that too sad to divulge but here in France
it’s the law!! When I went to organise my
(French) pension they demanded all my payslips
going back over 40 years. Managed to get a
dispensation when I explained that it wasn’t required
in England, but I thought the poor woman would have
a heart attack when I told her that many workers in
England bin their slips as soon as received.

Perhaps I should point out that not many have been
paid weekly for a long time, but that’s still
40x12=480 payslips in a working life. There are
similar rules concerning electricity and phone bills too,
though not for ever.

Salut, David.

Just realised what happened. I must have pressed ‘quote’ instead of ‘edit’ in the original post.

Think it’s time for my sieste   .

Welcome to TruckNet UK Tony B

I would suggest checking because alot of boss’s take your breaks out of your overtime i.e. you work 60hrs this week 48 normal 12 as overtime. They put it down as 55 because they have deducted your breaks. I know this happens but as of yet im not sure if its lawfull or not yet?

But kick up a stink if its happening to you because im 95% sure its bgreaking the law

CHECK YOUR SLIP

it comes on a saturday and gets added to the pile. i never even open them. the money appears in the bank as if by magic so im happy

i will be salaried in a few weeks anyway :unamused:
