Not any particular person and from your post I think it’s a bit difficult to know if you disslike homosexuality, but just don’t they should be killed or you disagree with the persicution of them.
but it amazes me that so many so called Christians and many others use this one piece of text from the Bible to justify thier view on homosexuality, but ignore the many other passages of the Bible that cover many other things that many of them do on a day to day basis.
My main gripe is with the Christian Right in the US, they have massive condemnation of homosexuality, whilst rakeing in large sums of money and ignoring the needs of those far less fortunate than themselves. Despite the many passages in the Bible about giving up wealth and helping those less fortunate.
i was brought up to think its wrong, and i’ve brought my kids up to think its wrong.
i would never persecute anybody for their ■■■■■■■■■, but personally i think it should be put back in the closet where it always was.
in bolton we all knew where the gay bars where and left them to it, then all of a sudden we’re having it forced in our face because the law changed.
2 guys were nearly killed in my local becaused they were holding hands and started kissing,
they were asked to stop, but argued that seeing as its ok for the men to kiss their women, its ok for them and kissed again.
they were very lucky there was enough of us to stop the attack, but the people that did it wouldn’t have gone to a gay pub to attack them.
i’m not saying all because i do know a few discreet homosexuals, but some of them bring homophobia on themselves.
Don’t mind anyone following whatever religion they want so long as it doesn’t affect anyone who isn’t of the same opinion.
As for religion starting wars,if they didn’t use that excuse they’d all use another one.
Blasphemy laws p** me off no end. Don’t tend to be rude to anyone, so technically it doesn’t matter to me anyway, but why do you have to prance around legally not taking the mick out of something that might not be there anyway? Danish cartoons and the Gerry Springer musical come to mind.
Im not anything, not even wanting to be in a group of agnostics or atheists, but read Jammys recent post about little Joel or the one about my loss amongst many others and try telling me there is a caring God.
I dont give a crap about religion, I have lived within a very strict regime where luckily the 3 way split was fairly equal between tribal, muslim and christianity. We all shared the same space but the religious ones were the ones who caused the upsets. I would offer them all a bacon sandwich if they needed a shoulder of pork to cry on
Religion is a primitive tax on people and a way of controlling the masses by governments and landowners. The modern Christians follow some random trickster bloke who apparently lived in the middle east 2000 years ago
The thing I don’t understand is that when a child is taken people say things like “if there is a god how can this happen?” and yet they still then have a funeral for the child in a church in which they praise God for the child’s life and sing God’s praises.
I’m not wanting to cause undue upset or offence here but I really don’t see how that adds up? If you don’t think there is a god then why have a church funeral?
