If i get the addresses of the tan website of all the local hauliers im interested in and sent them all a covering letter and cv to the HR department would this get chucked in the bin?
Ive thought about knocking on doors aswell but most of the time you can’t get past security/gate.
I woulld imagine that “too many” speculative applications tell the yard thinking about hiring that they don’t need to offer very much money when the vacancies come up…

Some might get binned, but this is always my method when looking for a new job and i’ve never failed to get a job from it. I address it to the Transport Department though, not HR (whether that makes a difference though I don’t know). My theory is that sending it in the post, printed on nice paper makes you stand out a bit.
